As reported byDeadline , Short Circuit is getting a remakecourtesy of a quislingism between Spyglass Media Group and Project XEntertainment . ( The two companies are also working on the Scream remake . ) The remake will be a familyfilm with a screenplay by the piece of writing team of Eduardo Cisneros and JasonShuman . Cisneros has written Instructions NotIncluded , and Shuman wrote Half Brothers . According to Deadline , the two were charter to “ put a Latinx turn on thescreenplay , ” which presumably ( ? ) imply the film will be write through alens of Latinx cultural experience for Latinx actors .
