Most of the novel / old retro toy film cameras that amount out today bore me to death , but this one is really pretty neat . It ’s a bridge player - made pinhole tv camera that takes picture on Polaroid inst film , creating perverted but magic view of the world .
It ’s made by the same hoi polloi who brought you theImpossible Project , and it ’s called the66/6 Pinholecamera . Hand - made in a circumscribed edition run of 500 , this thing is unfortunately dear at $ 275 a soda pop . As in all pinhole tv camera , the 66/6 lack a lens or a mechanical shutter . It relies on your fingerbreadth to play as the shutter , with exposure fourth dimension based on some round-eyed photographic calculations you could figure out with an incidental app .
The camera has pencil eraser bellows that move back and off for photographic subject at various distance . There are two sizes of pinhole to accommodate light horizontal surface . It ’s emphatically a different experience than pointing and clicking , and you truly never know what you ’re going to end up with . It looks like a lot of fun , and pretty singular , for a pinhole television camera , to be able to see your resolution instantly .
What impresses me is the gallery of sampling pic on the project ’s website . They look genuinely interesting , as opposed to many retro toy camera which kind of look like a bore most of the time .
