Apple ’s WWDC event is just days aside , and while package updates are guaranteed , we still do n’t have a go at it for sure what computer hardware will debut . freshen translation of existing mathematical product are always a possibility , but what we really want to see from Apple is an totally new equipment .
Unfortunately , whatever chance there was of Apple debuting a newfangled product this summer appear to be fading . For a import , it seemed that Apple might finally take the wraps off its mysterious AR / VR headset — a machine that ’s been the national of countless rumors ( 1,2 , and3 ) over the retiring few years . However , prolific Apple analyst Ming - Chi Kuo has now snuffed out our hopes for that possibility , explaining in a tweet why the Cupertino technical school colossus wo n’t show its headset this class .

The reasons , it seems , are twofold . First , mass production of the “ AR / MR ” ( augmented and mixed reality ) headset wo n’t pass off for some metre , according to Kuo . So WWDC would be too former for a reveal . Moreover , should Apple debut its headset with full specification , it ’d give competitor a pattern for copycatting .
Kuo then casually add that Apple will launch in “ 2023 , ” echoing psychoanalyst Jeff Pu of Haitong International Securities , who similarly say the intersection will be delayed until former 2023 .
This does n’t necessarily mean the AR / VR headset wo n’t be cite at all . At some percentage point , Apple will call for to hype its mixed reality platforms , so developer sense compelled to build AR / VR apps and optimise their existing one for a new political platform . Another piece of the puzzle is iOS 16 , which is expected to debut with several new AR / VR technology . Moreover , software developers recentlyunearthed acknowledgment to “ realityOS”in App Store upload logs and GitHub repositories used by Apple , suggesting we could learn about Apple ’s mixed - reality platform before any computer hardware debuts .
Even if we do n’t get our tag into Apple ’s interracial realness worldmetaverse , there has been mumbling about the company debut a redesigned MacBook Air or a refreshed MacBook Pro 13 . We could also see an update iMac and a Mac miniskirt run on an M2 scrap . Of course , this is all speculation .
