Between now and when we last see what befall in Avengers : Infinity War , we ’re going to get six newfangled Marvel movie . That sounds pretty gravid , but we are still curious about what this two - parter on the horizon curb , and its directors love to tease us .
In a new interview , The Russo Brothers — who are currently fill in Captain America : polite War before moving onto Infinity War Parts 1 and 2 — droppeda very juicy quoteabout what may happen in those films , which begin on May 4 , 2018 .
The stakes of both Civil War and the Avengers : Infinity War movies are gon na be very eminent , and there will be a monetary value to ante up for the characters . And that ’s the whole head of cumulative storytelling . We ’re go to go on worked up journey with these role . We ’ve got a lot invested in the emotion . We have a responsibility to be mindful of how these people feel about the character and , at the same metre , we also have a responsibility to carry through on the storytelling . As filmmakers , we believe in stakes . You ca n’t have practiced storytelling without strong stakes . So , there will be a terms to make up , there will be a price to pay off in Civil War . There will be characters who suffer in that motion-picture show , and he will come out of that movie and never be the same . And in Infinity War the interest will be raise to a whole young level . the great unwashed should expect to be shocked when they see those movies .
That last bit , bolded by us for emphasis , is the really challenging part . It ’s impossible to presage what shocking events could take post in Infinity War , especially with Captain America : Civil War , Doctor Strange , Guardians of the Galaxy Vol . 2 , Spider - Man , Thor : Ragnarok and Black Panther all come about in between . But you could bet it means death , it means wipeout , it does not imply beneficial things for our heroes .
If a little encounter with Ultron can all vary the make up of The Avengers , who know what Thanos could do .
