Congressman Eric Massa of NY tried to drive a fuel cell car from NY to DC to make an environmental point and to show how great fuel cell cars are . He fail at both .
Representative Massa made the 300 mile New York State to DC trip in a car that has a maximum range of 200 international mile . How ? By enlisting the service of two sport utility vehicle to tow two fuel cubicle motorcar while not in use .
Massa take one fuel electric cell car while a hybrid SUV [ Chevy Tahoe ] towing an extra SUV followed along . Once he got half way , he switched to new fuel cell car [ which I take over was tow to the half way point sometime in the beginning so that it would be waiting for the environmentally - witting congressman ] . The empty fuel cell was then tow back by the first SUV . As he continued on his journey , the 2nd SUV come after . Once Massa arrived in DC , the second sport utility then tow the second fuel cellular phone railroad car back to NY .

So essentially , one SUV traveled 400 mile and one sport utility traveled 600 mile for a totality of 1000 miles on a 300 mile head trip . That ’s not even counting the gasoline mileage on the fuel cellular phone car . Nice work there Captain Planet . [ Famous DCviaBoing Boing ]
