That ’s a question that ’s long been think over , but a fresh study place to reply it in part by advise Earth got its water pretty ahead of time on .

That crushed estimate is very similar in size to the innovative large asteroid Vesta in the asteroid rap , 525 klick ( 326 miles ) across . However , it ’s likely the APB no longer live .
“ Despite its proposed significant size , the APB [ Angrite Parent Body ] has not been physically observed , although there are smaller asteroids that parade spectral feature film that are very similar to the angrites , ” the squad writes in their composition . “ Consequently , the APB was belike cut off or put down . ”
The study give us an interesting new look , though , at the origin of Earth ’s water . There are still plenty of unreciprocated question , but perhaps we ’ve had it for long than we retrieve .
