While New York Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito is out making passes, his mom is still making his bed!
The undrafted free agent, 25, is still living with his parents, he revealed toESPNahead of his first NFL career start on Sunday.
The living situation was a “no-brainer," he told the outlet.
“Everything that I need is there at the house,” he said of his childhood home in Cedar Grove, New Jersey — just a hop, skip and a jump from the Giants’ practice facility and stadium.
And when DeVito says “everything outside of football,” he means it.
“I don’t have to worry about laundry, what I’m eating for dinner, chicken cutlets and all that is waiting for me when I get there. My mom still makes my bed,” he told ESPN. “Everything is handled for me.”
“Honestly, I don’t even know if I could find a place closer to here than where I live. It takes me 12 minutes to get here,” he added.

Giants offensive lineman Justin Pugh told ESPN that in his decade of NFL experience, he has never known a player who lived at home — but he does not disapprove.
“That is the greatest. You know what, smart!” Pugh, 33, told the outlet. “Saving his money. Genius! That’s the one thing I’d say from a financial standpoint.”
“Your mom helping with your wash, making sure you’re up on time, no distractions, unbelievable,” he added.
According to ESPN, a trio of Giants wide receivers, Jalin Hyatt, Wan’Dale Robinson and Bryce Ford-Wheaton, all knew about DeVito’s living arrangement — and have been over to his house. (Now that he knows, Pugh expects a Sunday dinner invite.)
“I’ve been over there. I love going to his spot,” fellow rookie Hyatt, 22, told the outlet, adding, “He has a little hot tub in the back.”
But it is not just DeVito’s home — and hot tub — that has won over his teammates.
Hyatt told ESPN the rookie quarterback has the scoop on good restaurants and spots in the area, and offensive lineman Ben Bredeson shared that he is always “having a good time.”
“When I came out here, that is what I thought a New Jersey guy was. I love Tommy. Absolutely love Tommy,” Bredeson, 25, told the outlet. “He’s got, obviously, a loud personality. But he’s always fun, always having a good time.”
“He’s just a very self-confident guy, and not in a bad way,” he added.

Ahead of the Sunday matchup, Giants running back Saquon Barkley told ESPN that the next couple of weeks could be fodder for a “perfect story.”
“I literally told [DeVito] [Thursday], it could be a hell of a story. Let’s make it a hell of a story,” he told ESPN.
“Undrafted guy from Jersey, lives in Jersey with his parents — I didn’t know that part — gets to be starting quarterback for the New York Football Giants,” he said. “The perfect story.”
