Last Nox was the premiere of thelast trailerfor Guardians of the Galaxy . A lot of stuff was n’t new , but what was fresh was that our novel villain explained herself . And Nebula got enough screentime to facilitate us chart her route .
We start where we have seen so much before : on a floating chopine above Ayesha ’s planet with the team preparing to fight the behemoth tentacled thing . We also know that Ayesha has lease the team and that this sequence is really betimes in the film .
fresh to this is footage showing Star - Lord with a twist that prognosticate when the tentacle creature will show up .
Also , Star - Lord is a bit put out that Gamora has a hit man . Also , he necessitate if it ’s a “ rifle , ” earning her disdain . He says he thought shooter were his thing and brand hers . I ’m pretty sure this is to dress up a prank with Gamora wielding the bombastic gun known to man later :
This is from afterwards in the trailer and later in the movie , but I count dollar to donuts Star - Lord says something like “ hitman are whole your thing ” after this .
Also worth noting that the creature Ayesha hire them to get disembarrass of does n’t live there , but pops in out of space . Ayesha is credibly one of , if not the main , baddie in this pic , so there ’s probably some deceit involved in what she ’s hired the Guardians of the Galaxy to do .
There ’s some of the monster battle we ’ve seen before , plus this Star - Lord aspect , and then we get :
Apparently part of their plan to crusade the monstrosity involves the big businessman of music .
in reality , the speakers scene is from a unlike fourth dimension on Ayesha ’s planet , since Groot is in a red Ravager - comparable outfit in this and in this vista on the platform ( from afterward in the trailer ) , he ’s his common au naturel self . But the rings and ardor behind him show they ’re similar locations .
Ayesha ’s throne room has her saying , presumptively to the team , “ I see it within you . Fear . green-eyed monster . Betrayal . It is our duty to cleanse the universe of this failing . ”
It seems like Ayesha ’s giving her baddie justification : to toss off tool that pollute the universe with their weakness . I ’m question if she lease them to kill the animate being as part of her cleansing plan , has them fight the creature to reveal their weaknesses to her , or what .
Someone bring Nebula to Gamora — note that the aureate people in the screen background tell us this is Ayesha ’s planet AND that Nebula is in this hooded cloak . It seems likely that the Guardians leave with her .
At some compass point , though , Nebula gets her very own red Ravager jacket . This is from later in the trailer , although it ’s still on the Sovereign planet ( the window clue you in ) . In this fit , Nebula says , “ All you do is yell at each other . You are not friends . ”
“ No , we ’re kinfolk . Except perchance her , ” aver Drax , nodding in Nebula ’s direction . Again , I remember this scene is when they riposte to that planet , since Nebula is likely part of a squad by this full stop .
And I think it takes place before the Guardians encounter Ego and Mantis , since she ’s in handcuffs here . perchance Nebula join in on the Reaver mutiny against Yondu when the team gets captured and then terminate up in handcuff ? Also , the color does n’t look like her crimson crown . And it ’s vain , while her red one , which she wears fighting with the squad later , has one arm .
See , one sleeve . And a great gibe of the whole squad in the bowl of the uncanny spiney major planet we see them fighting near later in the lagger .
We recognize that , at some distributor point , the Ravager and the Guardians meet up and there ’s a breakout from the Reavers . But this part reckon like it takes place before the rebellion that give up Yondu out of force .
We ’ve seen part of the struggle against these round ship before , but the freeze frame here show a gold person indoors , so we know they ’re Ayesha ’s forces .
And she has a lot of them .
“ You bed , they told me you guy were conceited douchebags , but that is n’t dead on target at all , ” says Rocket in response to Ayesha ’s financial statement .
At some compass point , it ’s just Groot and Star - Lord in the Milano . I mean this is a conflict with the round things .
We ’ve seen the puritanical solemnity wave scene before , but now there ’s a piece more detail on how Rocket set the yap .

Awesome , we ’re really going to be able to jack up up our prices if we ’re two - meter galaxy savers . ” I almost desire to say Rocket ’s hijacked on of the Sovereign ’s ( the name of Ayesha ’s multitude and also possibly their planet ) round pod ship , but the rapid growth in shows there ’s more on the other side , so I do n’t know exactly what variety of ship this is .
There appear to be some good downtime on the Sovereign major planet , since their dancing on a balcony there . And yes , James Gunn confirm that this is the Ayesha ’s world and not a dissimilar one :

It ’s very pretty and housing some very forged people .
We ’ve been seeing a lot space battles around this eldritch variety of coiled - up satellite , which might be Ego ’s . It look construct and a chip alive , which is a raw mode to interpret the “ Ego the Living Planet ” affair , since they did n’t go with “ literal giant head in infinite ” for Ego in this moving picture .
you could see the planet ’s tendril move in this scene .
In her Ravager ruby-red jacket and her own Reaver ship , it looks like Nebula is chase after down Gamora . After the consequence of the last movie , I depend the disgruntled members of Yondu ’s crew and Nebula have similar touch sensation where the Guardians are concerned .
This shot is inside Ego ’s ship . The white-livered and white give it aside , since we see this invention when the ship ’s room access opens later in the trailer .

That say , base on clothing and other clues , I think that the team is hired by Ayesha , finds out something is up with her ( maybe from Ego ? ) , hatch a plan while dealing with being hunt down by the Ravager , have to fight of the Sovereign ’s onslaught on Ego ’s planet , and have another encounter back on the Sovereign major planet . As for Nebula , she either start up out their prisoner , joins the Ravagers , and then get together the Guardians . Or just start out trying to stamp out them , gets capture , and is seduce by the “ family ” that they ’ve made . That ’s all guess , albeit very well - educate .
