And clearly the workouts are, well, working, as 55-year-old Jackman — clad in short black shorts and a navy blue tank top — bared well-toned arms and legs.

“GOAT,” raved his trainer Beth Lewis, who reshared Jackman’s video on herInstagrampage. “Nobody works harder than this one! The BEST and I am so proud ❤️”

The actor, whorecently splitfrom wife of 27 years,Deborra-lee Jackman,  had said in January thatit would take him 6 monthsto get back into Wolverine shape, adding that he was fortunately fit from performing in Broadway’sThe Music Man.

“There’s one thing that about eight shows a week being on Broadway singing and dancing, is I’m fit. So, I’m healthy. I have a good place to start,” he said.

However, as Jackman explained, “You can’t rush it. I’ve learned that it takes time. So, we have six months from when I finish [Music Man] to when I start filming. And I’m not doing any other work…That’s going to be my job for six months."

“And I’m really fit right now. And apologies, chickens. Run a mile. Start running now because I’m coming for you,” said Jackman.

Jackman previously had said that while Wolverine would likely return to the screen —he wouldn’t be the one wielding the infamous claws.

“Oh, Wolverine will be back. Someone’s going to buy him, I don’t know,” Jackman said in a November 2018  interview onSunday Today with Willie Geist.

“Not you though,” Geist replied.

“No, but Ryan is relentless,” Jackman said of Reynolds, who ultimately did lure Jackman into reprising his role forDeadpool 3.

“He keeps coming back to me in all these ways, shapes and forms,” Jackman continued. “I just said, ‘You know, I just don’t think the world really wants to see Deadpool with Wolverine.’”

Reynolds and Jackman did actually appear together onscreen as Wolverine and Deadpool — in 2009’sX-Men Origins: Wolverine, but that version of Deadpool was vastly different from Reynolds' wisecracking, raunchy reincarnation of the character in 2016’s record-breakingDeadpool.

And now Jackman is back in Wolverine mode, largely due to the dynamic between the two characters in the comic books.

“When I keep thinking of me and Ryan, of Deadpool and Wolverine, which are classic comic-book rivals, there’s alsoa dynamic that I’ve never really got to do beforeas Wolverine,” Jackman said of the upcoming movie during an appearance onWho’s Talking to Chris Wallace?in January.

“I just thought, ‘This is gonna be fun. Something I’ve never done before. I can’t wait.'”

Deadpool 3is expected in theaters next July.
