This isn’t the first time the proud parents have shared videos of their son rocking out. In October, theSmashstar, 39, shared a video of her son playing on a drumset, keeping the beat while jamming out barefoot and wearing noise-canceling headphones.

“Coming for ya@travisbarker,” she joked.

In October 2022, theAmerican Idolalum and her husband spoke to PEOPLE abouttheir son’s musical talents.

“We think [he’ll be musical], but we don’t know,” Foster said at the time. “Kids, strangely, will do something for a while and then it’ll amaze you and then they just drop it and they don’t do it anymore.”

“So we don’t know if the drumming thing is here to stay — I’d rather he have a tennis racket in his hand than a drumstick to tell you the truth,” he continued. “But anyway, if he ends up being a drummer, that would be great too. He loves watching our drummer, JR Robinson.”

In a previous interview withEntertainment Tonight, the singer-actress and her husband againraved about Rennie’s musical abilities.

“It makes sense that he’d be musical,” McPhee Foster told the outlet. “He’s certainly obsessed with the drums! Or imaginary drums, for that matter.”

Still, Foster said their son is too “young” for them to know if he’d follow in their footsteps in the music industry.

“When you look at somebody like [athletes] Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf, their kids are very talented… but they’re not tennis players, so we don’t know,” he added.
