The couple also included a few photos of the older brother RZA, who stands with the help of one of his parents. RZA wears a tiny leather jacket and looks at the camera.
Rihanna and Rocky welcomed their second son in August 2022. Although they didn’t initially share their son’s name or details regarding his birth,PEOPLE obtained his birth certificate later in the month.
The certificate revealed that the couple named their newborn son Riot Rose Mayers. He was born on Aug. 1, 2023, at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles at 7:41 a.m.

The Barbados native appeared on the March cover of BritishVoguealongside Rocky and their then 9-month-old son RZA,sharing that she and Rocky had “no one” with them when bringing their firstborn son home from the hospitalafterhis birth in May.
Though the birth was “beautiful,” she admitted to feeling a “head-f—” from the whole experience.
“I cannot believe it,” she said at the time. “Essentially, from one person I became two. You walk into the hospital as a couple and leave as a family of three. It’s nuts. And oh, my gosh, those first days are insane. You don’t sleep. At all. Not even if you wanted to.”

Speaking to new motherhood, Rihanna said her first few months were “legendary” with the infant.
“It’s everything. You really don’t remember life before, that’s the craziest thing ever,” she said. “You literally try to remember it – and there are photos of my life before – but the feeling, the desires, the things that you enjoy, everything, you just don’t identify with it because you don’t even allow yourself mentally to get that far, because…. Because it doesn’t matter.”

In the same interview, she also said that her daily routine had shifted since welcoming RZA. “It changed a lot, but you’re just at the same constant. You’re of service. Literally that is it. You are joyful when you get the time to shower,” she told the publication.
“I remember in the beginning I used to roll his bassinet into the bathroom and be showering and like wiping the fog off [the glass] just to peep at him,” Rihanna said. She also revealed that she loved mornings with her son the most. “Those were always my favorite, his little wake-up face, seeing his face change, seeing his color come in, just all of these changes.”

In February, the music superstar chatted with retired NFL player and hostNate Burlesonon the inaugural episode of his podcast,The Process with Nate Burleson, whereshe was asked about her then-upcoming performance at the Super Bowl and life as a mother.
“I’m living for my son,” Rihanna said on the iHeart/NFL podcast. “Everything matters now. You really start to take a lot into account.”
“Skydiving?! You really think about stuff like that — it’s not worth it,” she added.“Everything is different, life before my son seems very obscure. It’s very small and cloudy, it just got better with him.”

“We just didn’t get around to it yet really,” she told the outlet. “We’ve just been living. But I guess there’s a certain freedom that comes with kind of just, like, getting it out there.”
“When you become a mom, there’s something that just happens where you feel like you can take on the world,” Rihanna said. “You can do anything, and the Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world. So, as scary as that was… there’s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all, and it’s important for me to do this year. It’s important for representation. It’s important for my son to see that.”

The “Diamonds” singer also explained what it was like to prepare her body for the performance less than a year after giving birth. “The physical challenge has definitely been immense for many reasons, of course. I haven’t done this in a minute. You’re just running around for 13 minutes, trying to put a 2-hour set in 13 minutes, and you’re gonna see on Sunday,” Rihanna said.
“From the time it starts, it just never ends until it’s the very last second. … It’s a jam-packed show, and it takes a toll on your body, it really does.”

“Rihanna is doing well. They are very excited to be parents. Rihanna is already a wonderful mom,” said the source.
